![]() Key Backgroundĭisney routinely increases its ticket prices at its theme parks, but Monday’s Disneyland price increase marks the first time the theme park’s ticket price has gone up since before the Covid-19 pandemic in February 2020. Disneyland guests can pay a one-day $20 fee that will let them have shorter waits at a variety of rides throughout the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks, while the most popular rides will charge a separate fee just to ride that individual attraction. Tangentĭisneyland guests will soon have to pay more for rides as well as tickets, as the theme park is set to launch its new “Genie+” and “Lightning Lane” service that will charge guests to skip the lines at popular attractions. An August study by travel website Koala predicted the price of a one-day Disneyland ticket will go up to $223.96 by 2031 if Disney’s price increases stay at their current rate-an 8,858% increase from the $2.50 ticket price when Disneyland opened in 1955. ![]()
